Hamburg NY

Town/Village of Hamburg

"Suburban meets Country"

Hamburg NY is located south of Buffalo NY, right along side Lake Erie. Close to I-90 and Route 5 (which runs along the lake into downtown Buffalo). All the stores anyone will need is located in the town, including McKinley Mall, the convenience is great! Overall safe and homey feeling. The village is nice. Mostly middle class and upper middle class folks. Orchard Park and East Aurora are not that far. We are not too far from the country so you’re able to ski and snowmobile in designated areas. The lake is great is the summer. Hamburg has their our own town park on the lake-which is for residents only. A huge recreational area and plenty of parks. It's a great place to raise a family. The taxes are a little High, like most middle class suburbs around Buffalo, but you see exactly where your tax dollars are going with the great schools and a safety within the town.

What to Love

  • Very suburban with a little country.

  • Middle to upper class Lifestyle.

People & Lifestyle

Hamburg is a very nice place to live, located right along side Lake Erie and offers many restaurants and activities. There are not many vegan options to eat though, but traveling 15 minutes to the city of Buffalo will supply you with plenty. Hamburg is not very diverse however,The town could try to do more to improve on this. Theres are a couple country clubs, Dog Park and most importantly beaches. Restaurants do not stay open very late though. For avid hikers and bikers, there are great hiking trails along the creek with a high elevation. There are restaurants on the lake and two open beaches. One private beach for residents. The view of the windmills over the water are beautiful. Hamburg is only about 15 minutes from high mark stadium where the Buffalo Bills football team plays.
